I have one secure flash drive from SanDisk 4GB (enterprise cruzer I think) and it is very nice.

It's pretty fast for big files and we were notified by the IT admin that our data on the device is also backed up.

Many companies buy secure usb memory sticks but they tend to go fo rthe cheaper option of a usb memory stick with password encryption software on the drive. This is usually an optional program and many users just don't use it. Companies should be going for memory sticks with AES total encryption built in. This means that a user MUST enter a password to access the drive. These types of drives are more expensive but they should be used by all companies where sensitive data is being moved around.

Tim has a good point. Hardware-based encryption is always more secure.
